HARP & FLUTE

Emma Wilkins grew up in Aberdeenshire where she began studying the flute. She was later awarded a place at the Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama and there was awarded the John McGregor flute prize for outstanding achievement and graduated with both a BMus(Hons) and a MMus in music performance.

Emma now enjoys a successful freelance career having recently performed with the Royal Scottish National Orchestra, the Orchestra of Scottish Opera and the Northern Sinfonia. She has a keen interest in chamber music and not only performs regularly with Helen MacLeod but also appears in concert with the chamber groups; the Keelie Ensemble, Amici Winds, and Ecoute at a variety of venues across the UK.

Most recently she has worked with the Scottish pop group Texas where she features on their latest album Red Book which led to several appearances on national television including the BBC’s Top of the Pops.
